Building custom projects often takes a bit of practical design work before the project commences.
For unique builds Kent Staging will often construct the structure before the event, ensuring the finished project will work as intended once on site.
Take this multi layered runway for example. The client requested a simplistic multi layered run way, with ladders providing access to the top. The structure was to be used for a contemporary theatre show so the canvas had to be left blank. The key was to design the bracing that would ensure stability on the top level, without covering the front with a web of scaffolding. Kent Staging pre-built the structure to ensure the designs would achieve the desired product.
Merging a stage with its surroundings is often a great way to fool punters into believing the stage was always that big!
In this particular example the client requested to extend their existing stage out by a further 8ft. Kent Staging were contracted to supply a plat from that matched the existing height of their stage, and created a seamless transition between the venues permanent stage and Kent Stages temporary addition.
The entire combined performance space had a dance floor laid on top providing the perfect platform for over 3 months of dance performances.
Sometimes access is restricted during certain performances and an unusually places set of treads is the answer t limited stage access!
Standard tread systems wont work in every scenario. Kent Staging offered an alternative solution by using multiple small sections of staging to create a 100 degree step unit that met the in house stage perfectly.
Due to the strange angle, conventional hand rails would not fit, Kent Staging designed a unique scaffolding solution which doubled up as the bracing, ensuring the steps were a solid addition to the existing stage.
